I’m a new employee. How soon can I start using the benefit?<\/h4><\/div>

Today! There is no waiting period. Simply read through the policy<\/a>, complete the online request form and submit to your supervisor for approval.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I work at another location. Can I still use release time?<\/h4><\/div>
\n

All full-time employees have this opportunity and may discuss the use with their direct Supervisor. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I need a membership to the Tarleton Campus Recreation Center?<\/h4><\/div>
\n

The policy does not require employees to purchase a RSC membership. Employees are welcome to obtain a Membership that includes access to all fitness classes, the climbing wall, basketball courts, etc. Please visit the Campus Recreation website<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I need to get a physician’s clearance?<\/h4><\/div>

You do not need to produce any documentation for a medical exam, but if you receive health insurance benefits through our Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, we recommend you visit your doctor for an annual visit prior to participation More info on benefits is available on the BCBS website<\/a>. On the wellness release time application, you’ll acknowledge you visited your doctor and are cleared to participate in physical activity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I’ve already applied this year. Do I need to re-submit an application?<\/h4><\/div>

All applicants will need to submit a revised form once per academic year in the month of August for the upcoming fiscal year.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
