President's Guaranteed Award Program

Tarleton State University will guarantee scholarship levels to entering fall 2021 freshmen who graduate in the top 25 percent of their high school class. Learn more.

Tarleton Promise Program

The Tarleton Promise Program will cover the remaining bill after a qualifying student's scholarships and grants are applied to their account. Check out the program requirements and eligibility.

Honors College

Providing an elevated general education, The Honors College welcomes all majors and prepares undergraduate students for any profession, as well as engaged citizenship and a life-long love of learning through its two honors programs. Find out more about participating.

Program for System Admission (PSA)

The Program for System Admission (PSA) is offered by Texas A&M to incoming Freshman who were denied admission to TAMU as a pathway for admission to TAMU-College Station after successful completion of their first year in college at one of Texas A&M University's System Institutions. T3 Partnership

The Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership aims to ensure more Tarrant County students obtain a postsecondary credential and that each student has the training and skills they need to thrive in today’s workforce. Find more information on our T3 Partnership website.

Texas College Bridge

Tarleton State University has signed the Texas College Bridge MOU to strengthen college access options for high school students. Texas College Bridge is an adaptive learning platform that offers 11th and 12th grade high school students an alternative to demonstrate college readiness in mathematics, reading, and writing as required by the Texas Success Initiative. Who is the Admission Counselor for my school?

You can find the Admission Counselor for your school here. This will be your contact for student questions, upcoming college fair invitations, or scheduling classroom presentations.

When does your undergraduate admission application open?

Tarleton's undergraduate admission application opens on July 1st for the fall semester of the next academic year.

What if my high school does not have school rank?

If your high school does not have a school rank, Tarleton's Office of Undergraduate Admissions will review your GPA.

What is the best way to submit a student's transcript?

Official transcripts can be submitted by mail to or electronically via TREx, Parchment, Naviance, or Skyward.

Why would a student need me to send a transcript if I have already sent one?

If a student is not ranked in the top half of their class, they will be required to submit a transcript after the first semester of their senior year before their application can be processed.

What are Tarleton's test score requirements?

First-Time Freshman Regular Admission

To be granted regular admission status, first-time freshmen must provide SAT and/or ACT scores, and either rank in the top 10% of the high school graduating class or meet one of the combinations of high school quarter rank and entrance scores listed below:

** Old SAT total consists of Critical Reading (Verbal) + Mathematics only. New SAT total consists of Evidence Based Reading and Writing + Math. The writing component can be submitted but it is not required.
