Bill<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-79a1fa9486418436dafd81eec5f9b3ce\">The Post-9\/11 G.I. Bill<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> helps pay for tuition and fees, provides a monthly housing allowance (BAH), and offers up to $1,000 a year for books and supplies. Bill<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> \u2013 Active Duty provides up to 36 months of education benefits. Depending on your needs, benefits may include tuition and fees, books and supplies, a monthly housing allowance, and career counseling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1b47c3c41cbd26ac56f9eb7b0648ef3e\"><strong>What you need to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list body-text has-tarleton-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ef07141af6b8c8595e85ebe6ebc871d4\">\n<li>Apply online through VA.gov to determine eligibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with a VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) who will issue an authorization to the university if approved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete and submit Tarleton\u2019s Request for VA Certification form each semester to the Veteran Services Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-tarleton-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a250047de28a473f48b8ef0b868cbcba\">Texas Hazelwood Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"body-text has-tarleton-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-37302a947697d301656a720a48bd9e33\">The Hazlewood Act is a Texas state benefit that exempts qualified veterans, spouses, and dependent children from paying tuition and certain fees at Texas public colleges and universities for up to 150 credit hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-purple-color
