The student’s participation in Tarleton’s 2017 Physics Camp is funded by scholarships from the Texas Work Force Commission. As part of the grant process, we are required to verify the eligibility of potential scholarship winners. We are also required to collect family demographics as part of the grant including general family income, etc. for reporting to the TWC although this information will not be used in choosing camp participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Have just completed 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade in a Texas High School or home school whose curriculum can be verified to be equivalent to a Texas High School by the University Admissions Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Be between the ages of 14 and 21 years of age at time of enrollment in the program<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. If male, meet U.S. Military Selective Service Registration requirements. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Additional Program Eligibility Criteria:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Be an individual who is enthusiastic about physics who wants to spend two weeks learning new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The following link provides a list of documents that can be used for verification of eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Each camper must demonstrate eligibility either prior to check-in by sending a copy of the required documentation via Fax or Electronic attachment (preferred) or at the time of check-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    No camper will be admitted to the camp who doesn’t provide documentation verifying their eligibility!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the case of equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to foster children as required under Texas Workforce Commission summer camp grant requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
