Texas Social Media Twitter Chat Schedule - #TXSocialMedia

Registration for our #TxSocialMedia chat is not required, but it is encouraged.

What is a Twitter chat?

A pre-arranged date and a time for people to tweet about a topic, using a hash tag so that the conversation can be tracked later. People often use these chats to network professionally, learn more about their favorite topic, or to simply "meet" other people on Twitter. More information on Twitter chats. NEW! We have now split our chat in two to accommodate busy schedules. The first part of our chat will take place every Thursday on Twitter from 8-8:30 p.m.

If you would like to attend the Rural Communication Institute (our partner organization)'s chat at 8:30pm on Thursdays after the TSMRI Chats, please check out their #ThinkRuralComm Twitter chats.

How does it work?

  1. At 8 p.m. the night of the chat, log into Twitter and type in #TxSocialMedia (not case sensitive).
  2. Wait for a question (one is tweeted out about every 8 minutes). Ex: Q1 - What are the benefits for connecting with companies? Have you ever won anything? #txsocialmedia
  3. Hit "Reply" to the tweet with the question, use A for Answer, and include the hash tag. Ex: A1 - You will be the first to find out about the store deals. #txsocialmedia
