If time allows, you will be able to retest. See the testing requirements outlined in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/tmate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/220\/2022\/08\/Student-Handbook-FINAL-2019-2020.pdf\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/tmate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/220\/2022\/08\/Student-Handbook-FINAL-2019-2020.pdf\">Student Handbook<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are links to assist with certification testing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tx.nesinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pearson Information<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/tmate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/220\/2022\/08\/preadmission-content-tests-pact.pdf\">Pre-Admission Content Test (PACT)<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-column advgb-column advgb-is-two-thirds-tablet advgb-is-full-mobile\" id=\"advgb-col-4af7d1dc-2165-4537-853b-b9c1bf78c417\"><div class=\"advgb-column-inner\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px\">\n<p>House Bill 2205, signed by Governor Abbott and effective September 1, 2015, limits the number of times a candidate may take an exam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;A person may not retake an examination more than four times \u2026 a person who initially took an examination before September 1, 2015, may retake the examination up to four times after that date, regardless of the number of times that the person attempted to perform satisfactorily on the examination before that date.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recent Development Regarding Testing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning January, 1, 2021, Texas will be requiring certain pre-service teachers to complete the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) exam.
