The staff is proficient in the following activities: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring remote automated water quality monitoring equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collecting, processing, and transporting water quality samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performing recreational and aquatic life Use Attainability Analyses (UAAs) and habitat assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Designing, constructing, and maintaining experimental field plots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deploying multiprobe sondes and automated samplers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time-of-travel studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In situ measurement of sediment oxygen demand (SOD).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In situ measurement of algal productivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In situ measurement of algal growth potential and nutrient limitation. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Velocity measurements and rating curve development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collection, preservation, and analysis of E. coli and Enterococci samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ground truthing to validate land-use maps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance of real-time monitoring systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TIAER&#8217;s Field Operations group maintains a variety of equipment to successfully complete its water quality monitoring activities. This equipment includes:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Isco\u2122 carousel automated water samplers and programmable bubbler type level meters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>YSI Multiprobes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conventional and Doppler technology current meters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic rain gauges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boats for a variety of aquatic environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GPS and surveying equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Backpack electrofishing equipment and seines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A vehicle fleet to access sampling
