Stipends made possible by TAF allow deserving students to live on campus and thrive as Texans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wellness:<\/strong> TAF contributions are utilized to provide essential health and wellness services to deserving students in need. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nutrition:<\/strong> Students unable to afford the cost of proper nutrition receive support through the Tarleton Academic Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Retention:<\/strong> TAF funds keep Texans enrolled and on track to graduate at Tarleton State by countering the steady rise in the cost of attendance. In fact, nearly 50% of Tarleton State&#8217;s student body are first-gen, more than any other major Texas university including The University of Texas at Austin and Texas State. Our own president, Dr. James Hurley, is a first-generation graduate.
