All transfer students who are looking to get the competitive edge on their first year at Tarleton State University!

What
Texan Camp provides incoming students with the opportunity to make the transition from a previous school to Tarleton much easier by making new friends, learning the rich heritage and traditions of Tarleton and just plain 'ol having fun.

   When & Where
   Texan Camp
   August 6-8, 2014 at Greene Family Camp in Bruceville, TX.

The Cost
The cost for Texan Camp 2014 is $145 per camper. This price will include three days and two nights at camp, meals, an official Texan Camp t-shirt (to be worn on the last day), bus service to and from camp, as well as some other special treats.

What to Bring
Campers need to bring several changes of cool, comfortable clothes suitable for an August day in Texas, comfortable shoes for outdoor activities, and a swimsuit (for those interested in water activities). Students are also asked to provide their own toiletries, towels, twin size bed linens and/or sleeping bag, and a pillow. Please bring snacks and a water bottle...it will be very hot! There will be water stationed around the camp to refill the bottles.In addition to these items you might also want to bring a hat or something to block the summer sun, sun screen, insect repellent, a flashlight, and a GREAT POSITIVE ATTITUDE!

What "Not" to Bring
Other college gear. For your Texan Camp experience we want you to show your pride for Tarleton, so we ask that you leave your UT, Texas Tech, and other schools' hats and shirts at home and come ready to bleed purple!
