On Monday, Sept. 14, 2026 the Tarleton State University Police Department received multiple reports of stolen scooters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anti-Theft Suggestions:<\/u><\/strong>
– Consider using a high-security U-lock.
– Use a lock that properly fits the scooter or bike.
– Consider attaching an internal GPS tracker.
– Remove the battery pack whenever possible.
– Take the scooter with you whenever possible.
– Keep locks off the ground, where thieves can gain leverage to pry them open and break them.
– Park in well-lit, conspicuous areas and in view of cameras.
– Register all electric scooters or bicycles with Tarleton UPD Rapids program.
