Tarleton State University Sponsored Scholarships

International Education Fee Scholarship


A. In order to qualify for an International Education Fee (IEF) Scholarship,

  • A student must be enrolled in the semester in which the Study Abroad & Global Exchange Advisory Committee holds its vote on scholarships.
  • The hours counted for this purpose must have been completed at Tarleton State University or another institution in consortium with Tarleton State for purposes of scholarship eligibility as defined by the University Scholarship Office.

B. A student must be in good standing with the University with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate) at the time of submitting an IEF Scholarship application.

NOTE: A Tarleton graduating senior who has been admitted to the Graduate School (see above) AND plans to travel during their first graduate semester will be evaluated for an IEF Scholarship based on their Tarleton undergraduate GPA.

C. Post-baccalaureate students are not eligible for an IEF Scholarship

D. A student may not receive IEF Scholarship funds for travel to his/her home country.


  • October 1 – December and January Mini-terms 
  • December 1 – Spring mini-term/Spring Break and Spring Long Semester
  • April 20 - Summer and Fall Long Semester
