The International Programs Office works in collaboration with the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office to provide students with the necessary information related to applying for scholarships, using their financial aid, and any additional funding for study abroad.

It is unlikely that one source of funding will pay the entirety of a study abroad experience. Most students use a combination of scholarships and financial aid when studying abroad. Starting the study abroad search early will allow the student to apply for scholarships with early deadlines. Students need to be realistic when addressing funding needs and access all resources early to successfully funding their experience abroad.

Please remember that most scholarships are not guaranteed and awarding will occur after program confirmation. Program fees will be assessed the terms prior to departure.

Financing Study Abroad Experience

During the semester the Financial Aid Office provides resources and information about financing international academic experiences. This includes information about the financial aid processes as it relates to studying abroad, scholarship opportunities, and the financial considerations of different program types. Make an appointment with a Financial Aid officer to discuss your options.
