3-Step-Orientation Process

So you’ve been accepted to Tarleton, now what? Before you can join the Texan Family in the Fall, there’s a few things that need to be taken care of!

Step 1-Registration Day

All first-time freshman students and new transfer students with less than 12 transferable hours will need to successfully complete New Student Registration Day prior to registering for courses. Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements must be met prior to receiving an invitation.

To register for New Student Registration Day, you will use the link contained in an invitation sent to the email address with which you applied to the University. All students who have been admitted for Fall 2018 who are eligible and require to attend registration day will receive an email beginning January 2018. If you need the email resent, or want to inquire as to why you have not yet received the invitation, please contact our office at (254) 918-7683 so we can assist you.

Step 2-Duck Camp

Duck Camp is a 3-day, 2-night experience for incoming freshmen that is designed to ease the transition from high school into college. At Duck Camp, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Tarleton’s rich history and traditions while bonding with fellow incoming and current students.

2018 Duck Camp Registration opens soon. Dates to be announced!

Step 3-Transition Week

Transition Week begins with Move-In and continues through the first day of class. T-Week is intended to help students with a successful transition into the academic and campus community here at Tarleton. This week is mandatory for all new incoming freshmen and transfer students with less than 12 credit hours (regardless of how many dual-credit hours you have).

During Transition Week, students will have the opportunity to:

· Acclimate to campus and learn about resources

· Bond with the incoming class of 2022

· Learn about ways to get involved on campus

· Attend a variety of fun, evening activities

· Connect with faculty and staff

· And so much more!
