Student Organizations

Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) play an important role in campus life at Tarleton State University. Throughout the year, these groups sponsor a variety of extra and co-curricular activities for the campus and local community. In addition, student organizations provide a means for students to develop and refine leadership skills and to interact and network with students, faculty and staff.

Event Management

Student organizations should consult with the Student Involvement, Spirit and Tradition office before planning any major event. Some events may require an activity permit to be completed. These include:

  • Any program or event open to anyone outside of the organization’s membership
  • Large scale fundraising events such as raffles, concerts, food sales, etc.
  • Any event that require a contract with a vendor or facility

If your upcoming event matches any of these criteria, contact the Student Involvement, Spirit and Tradition office at 254-968-9490 or stop by Thompson Student Center, Room 105.

Benefits of being a RSO
