It is optional for spills involving other data classifications.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information resource owners are responsible for responding to information spills by:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identifying the specific information involved in the system contamination, and&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alerting the Tarleton Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the information spill according to reporting guidelines described in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/security-controls-catalog\/incident-response-ir\/ir-6-incident-reporting\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1219\">Control IR-6, Incident Reporting<\/a>, and using a method of communication not associated with the spill.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Tarleton CISO and the OITS Security Team\/Tarleton Security Operations Center (SOC) Team is responsible for responding to the report of the information spillage by:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Isolating the contaminated system or system component.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eradicating the information from the contaminated system or component.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifying other systems or system components that may have been subsequently contaminated.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignfull has-text-color has-tarleton-purple-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-tarleton-purple-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>References\/Additional Resources<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>None.&nbsp;
