STEPHENVILLE, Texas—The Tarleton State Texans (1-0) will travel to San Angelo this weekend to face the Angelo State Rams (1-1) for a contest that has been selected as the Lone Star Conference Game of the Week.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at San Angelo Stadium. The game will be streamed online at FoxSportsSouthwest.com and broadcast live on KSTV 93.1 FM with Casey Hogan calling play-by-play and Mike Young joining him for color commentary. Joanna Hensley will provide reports from the sideline as part of the broadcast team.

Tarleton opened the 2013 season defeating then-No. 13-ranked Midwestern State, 27-24, this past Saturday at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium in the Lone Star Football Festival.

This Saturday’s game marks the 30th meeting between Tarleton and Angelo State with the Texans leading the all-time series 15-14 after last season’s 54-37 win over the Rams in Stephenville. ASU leads the all-time series 10-6 when playing in San Angelo, but the Rams have not beaten the Texans on their home turf since Nov. 18, 2000, with Tarleton enjoying an 11-game win streak.

Tarleton will remain on the road next week when the Texans battle former LSC rival Abilene Christian in a neutral site contest that will be played at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. The Wildcats are in their first season as an NCAA Division I (FCS) member of the Southland Conference. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.
