STEPHENVILLE, Texas—A planned utility outage will cause all Tarleton State University locations to be closed on Friday, Dec. 20.

To lessen the impact on university operations, the campus maintenance activities requiring service outages will be carried out during the semester transition. The outage is necessary for the replacement of power generation and transfer equipment. All technology related services, including email, phones, Internet and emergency services will be unavailable on Dec. 20, but will be restored the following day.

Students’ email will not be affected and can be accessed via Microsoft at outlook.com/go.tarleton.edu. All faculty and staff email and calendars through exchange.tarleton.edu will be unavailable during the outage, including access on smart phones, tablets and computers.

The university’s normal business hours will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, after the holiday break.
