STEPHENVILLE, Texas—The legendary sounds of Elvis Presley will echo across campus during the Friends of the Dick Smith Library’s upcoming Dinner in the Stacks event, Saturday, Sept. 21.

Tribute singer Dan Devivo will perform the greatest Presley hits at the semi-annual fundraiser that features food, door prizes and good company among the books and educational resources inside Tarleton State University’s library.

DeVivo has been entertaining audiences with the music of Elvis Presley since 2006. He has performed all over Texas, as well as Las Vegas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Ohio.

Dinner in the Stacks opens with appetizers at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner and entertainment. Tickets to this fall’s Dinner in the Stacks are $17.50 for members of Friends of the Library, and $20 for nonmembers.

Established in 1990, the Friends of the Dick Smith Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to the support of the university’s library. The organization funds the acquisition of educational amenities which lie outside of the library budget; helps sponsor discussions, lectures, book talks, and other scholarly activities; and aids in the creation of endowments, bequests, and other gifts to the university’s library.
