STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Dr. Lisette Dottavio has been named to the board of trustees of A.T. Still University, a private higher education institution and the world’s first osteopathic medical school.

“Higher education, a quality student experience and service to the community are very important to me. Serving on this board will provide the opportunity to extend my reach into these areas, to learn more about healthcare and to bring some of that knowledge back to our community,” said Dottavio, the wife of Tarleton President F. Dominic Dottavio.

Dottavio is a senior tax accountant with Boucher Morgan & Young in Stephenville.

“We are pleased to welcome each extremely talented and accomplished new board of trustee member to the university,” said A.T. Still President Craig Phelps. “ATSU’s ongoing contribution to health professions education and America’s healthcare is assured with the strength and diversity of its board of trustees.”

Dottavio earned her bachelor of arts degree in physical geography from SUNY Buffalo, master of arts degree in physical geography from the University of Colorado, and her doctorate in satellite technology from Purdue University. She later continued her education at the Ohio State University where she became a certified public accountant.

In addition to her campus involvement at Tarleton, Dottavio is active with her local church and other civic organizations, and has served on the Erath County United Way board for five years.

Founded in 1892 as the nation’s first college of osteopathic medicine, A.T. Still University provides graduate level education in whole person healthcare. It has campuses in Kirksville, Mo., and Mesa, Ariz.
