Prof honored for meat judging

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Dr. Randy Harp, professor in the Department of Animal Science and Wildlife Management, received the American Meat Science Association’s 2013 Intercollegiate Meat Judging Meritorious Service Award.

The award was established in 1993 to recognize outstanding contributions and service to the meat judging program. It is sponsored by Food Safety Net Services. Harp will be honored at the AMSA 66th Reciprocal Meat Conference in Auburn, Ala., June 16-19.
