Wednesday, March 27, 2013

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—The Spring Student Art Exhibit, featuring Tarleton students’ works, opens March 27 at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery.

The art exhibit features the work of Tarleton students currently enrolled in studio art courses. A range of styles of art will be displayed depicting the depth and variety of Tarleton student's talents, such as painting, sculpture, photography, digital painting, mixed media and others.

The free exhibit is open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until May 3, and features works by students in all of Tarleton’s art classes taught by Mark Davis, Sharon Seelig, Chris Ireland and April Delaney.

"The students do all the work in setting up the show, from making the art, preparing it to be displayed, and installing it in the gallery," said digital media assistant professor Chirs Ireland. "We as a faculty are just proud to have the opportunity to show off the talents of our diverse and growing art area."

There will be a reception for the artists that is open to the public on April 11, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery.
