Pianist, Chamber Winds pair for popular piano concerto
Chamber Winds in Concert

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University’s Chamber Winds will join pianist and associate professor of piano Dr. Leslie Spotz in a performance of the popular Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto in C Minor, Op. 18, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

Under the direction of Dr. Anthony Pursell, the Tarleton Chamber Winds will perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s concerto, which has been scored for the ensemble by the university’s director of bands.

Presented by the Department of Fine Arts, the concert also will include performances of Eugene Gigout’s Grand Choeur Dialogue and Joaquin Rodrigo’s Adagio para Orquesta do Instrumentos de Viento.

Admission is $5 for adults or free with a Tarleton ID. Tickets go on sale in the auditorium box office one hour before the concert and all seating is general admission.
