STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Theatre at Tarleton returns for its first show of the 2013-2014 season with Jake’s Women, another comedic foray into the world of relationships by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Neil Simon.

The play, directed by Mark Holtorf, will be at 7:30 p.m. each evening from Sept. 24-28 in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater. It’s the first show in the remodeled theater.

In the play, Jake, a novelist who is more successful in fiction than in life, faces a marital crisis by dreaming about all of the women in his life.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens, students, faculty and staff (with ID); and $5 for Tarleton students (with ID). The box office opens Sept. 16 and is open on weekdays from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on opening night.

Prior to the opening night performance on Sept. 24, the Department of Fine Arts and the ULTRA Club will hold the annual ULTRA Club Dinner Theatre Evening at 5:30 p.m. with a reception and dinner. The club supports the fine arts at Tarleton. For information on joining the club, call Dayle Cox at 254-968-9291.
