2012 Tarleton Homecoming Court selected

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Five Tarleton State University coeds have been named to the 2012 Homecoming Court with one lucky lady set to be crowned Homecoming Queen during halftime of the Texans’ football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Sponsored by Tarleton’s Student Government Association, the annual selection and election process of the Homecoming Court is decided by the students who cast ballots online during Homecoming week.
The 2012 Homecoming Court includes Sarah Heine of Burleson, Kelsey Hutchens of Midlothian, Kaylee Carlile of Odessa, Sarah Rader of Vernon and Delayna Richards of Weatherford.
Heine is a senior special education major and family and consumer science minor, and is the daughter of Barbara and David Heine. She is a member of the executive council for Phi Mu Sorority, a senior Panhellenic Council delegate and a member of the public relations committee. Heine also serves as a Tarleton Ambassador and a member of Duck Camp United.
A senior liberal studies major, Hutchens is the daughter of Karen and Tim Hutchens. She is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and serves as a Panhellenic Council representative, and is involved with risk management. Hutchens is also a Tarleton Ambassador, serves as a Texan Rep campus tour guide, an Emerge facilitator, and is a member of Tarleton State University Transfer Students United.
Carlile is majoring in theater and is currently a junior at Tarleton. She is the daughter of Kelly and Chris Carlile, and is a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Carlile also serves as president of the Alpha Psi Omega Honorary Theatre Fraternity and is a featured performer of Improv at Tarleton. She is also an active member of the Tarleton Players, Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success, and is the First-Year Cup and Duck Camp Coordinator.
Rader is a junior ag communications major and is the daughter of Susan and Mike Rader. She is a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority and is the Student Government Association representative for the Ag Communicators of Tomorrow.
A junior kinesiology fitness management major, Richards is the daughter of Sarah and Rob Brennand. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and serves as parliamentarian of the Panhellenic Council. Richards is also a member of the extension committee for a new national sorority looking to colonize at Tarleton, and is a student employee of the Recreational Sports Center.
The Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime of Saturday’s football contest against Texas A&M-Kingsville with the queen set to receive her crown from university President F. Dominic Dottavio. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Tarleton Memorial Stadium.
