STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University will celebrate a record enrollment of over 10,000 students at an Oct. 10 program at 2 p.m. on the campus.

Speakers at the program will include Tarleton President F. Dominic Dottavio, Dr. David Weissenburger, associate vice president for enrollment management, Dr. Karen Murray, provost and vice president of academic affairs, and Dr. James Hallmark, vice chancellor for academic affairs of The Texas A&M University System.

Tarleton’s band and cheerleaders will be on hand, and there will be a special performance by the Tarleton dance team, the Texan Stars. The program will take place on the lawn behind the Trogdon House, or, in the event of rain, in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center.

Tarleton’s Southwest Metroplex Center in Fort Worth will celebrate prior to evening classes on Oct. 10 by handing out cupcakes and 10K T-shirts to students, first come, first served. Tarleton students at Navarro College in Midlothian and at the University Center at McLennan Community College in Waco will have the same opportunity to celebrate the milestone enrollment.
