Camp programming content varies greatly; therefore, it is the responsibility of each camp sponsor to review activities and logistics for identifiable risks or hazards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group extra-padding white-links has-white-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#4f2d7f\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color\">What is a Campus Program for Minors?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Program for minors are University-sponsored events and activities which typically include all of the following elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The participant group is made up of individuals under the age of 18 and are not current Tarleton students,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tarleton is assuming care, custody, and\/or control of the participants, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The program is participatory in nature, i.e. small groups, projects, hands-on activities, games, educational activities, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reporting Child Abuse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A person having cause to believe that a minor\u2019s physical or mental health or welfare has been adversely affected by abuse or neglect by any person must immediately make a report to local law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group extra-padding has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\">\n<h2 is required to successfully complete the Texas A&amp;M University System (System) Child Protection Training approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-accordion-item advgb-accordion-item\" style=\"margin-bottom:15px\"><div class=\"advgb-accordion-header\" style=\"color:inherit\">Background Checks<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"advgb-accordion-body\" style=\"border-style:solid !important;border-width:1px !important;border-color:undefined !important;border-top:none !important;border-radius:2px !important\">\n<p>Any individual who will have involvement with a program for minors (i.e. employees, program counselors, or program volunteers) is required to complete annually a background check which includes the national sex offender and national criminal history databases. Beginning 03\/14\/2022, all background screenings will be conducted by an outside agency, and we will no longer require the paper format to be submitted through Microsoft Teams. Background screenings will be completed via an email submission through a third party service and monitored through Human Resources. It is imperative that Camp Directors provide an accurate Employee Roster with the correct email for each employee, counselor, or volunteer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-accordion-item advgb-accordion-item\" style=\"margin-bottom:15px\"><div class=\"advgb-accordion-header\" style=\"background-color:#4f2d7f;color:#eee;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;border-radius:2px\"><span class=\"advgb-accordion-header-icon accordion-state\"><svg class=\"advgb-icon-closed\" fill=\"#fff\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path fill=\"none\" d=\"M0,0h24v24H0V0z\"><\/path><path d=\"M12,5.83L15.17,9l1.41-1.41L12,3L7.41,7.59L8.83,9L12,5.83z M12,18.17L8.83,15l-1.41,1.41L12,21l4.59-4.59L15.17,15 L12,18.17z\"><\/path><\/svg><svg class=\"advgb-icon-opened\" fill=\"#fff\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\"><path fill=\"none\" d=\"M0,0h24v24H0V0z\"><\/path><path d=\"M7.41,18.59L8.83,20L12,16.83L15.17,20l1.41-1.41L12,14L7.41,18.59z M16.59,5.41L15.17,4L12,7.17L8.83,4L7.41,5.41L12,10L16.59,5.41z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span><h3 class=\"advgb-accordion-header-title\" style=\"color:inherit\">Insurance<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"advgb-accordion-body\" style=\"border-style:solid !important;border-width:1px !important;border-color:undefined !important;border-top:none !important;border-radius:2px !important\">\n<p>Every program for minors is required to purchase general liability and accident medical coverage through the System Risk Management insurance program or validate insurance requirements provided by third-party programs which is equivalent in limits and coverage required by the third-party agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Program for Minors Application<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application must include the program\u2019s brochure\/marketing materials, detailed itinerary, an employee roster and job descriptions, and an insurance application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tarleton.kualihub.com\/app\/697d075c8eeca8028e90b675\/start\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">automated programs and events for minors form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Third Party Programs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Must complete Third Party Programs for Minors Agreement and have it signed by both parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certificate of Insurance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Must obtain general liability and accident medical coverage for the event.
