Tarleton serves a broad community of students (Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Midlothian, RELLIS-Bryan and Global Campus) with unique needs related to COVID-19. To help meet those needs, $5.7 million in CARES Emergency Aid Program grants are available to assist students and their families. Part of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, these funds help students cover emergency expenses caused by COVID-19, including housing, utilities, food insecurity and medical expenses.

Also, Tarleton’s emergency fund grant assists undergraduate and graduate students who experience financial hardship because of a sudden change in finances — like a job loss or travel costs related to the death or illness of an immediate family member.

And The Texas A&M University System Regent’s Grant provides support to currently enrolled Texas-resident undergraduates unable to meet essential expenses due to unforeseen hardship.

Apply online, and call the Administrative Office for the Division of Student Affairs at 254-968-9081 for more info on all three assistance programs.
