Tarleton is providing fall food services with an emphasis on social engagement as well as physical distancing while adhering to local, state and federal safety recommendations. Staff are wearing face coverings, and food is being served rather than provided buffet style.
Furniture has been reconfigured to meet guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and CDC standards and state guidelines determine Dining Hall capacity.
Occupancy is limited to 50 percent, following state guidelines for restaurants, with no more than 10 guests at a table. Tables are spaced six feet apart so that chair backs also follow CDC social distancing guidelines.
The Dining Hall will close for one hour between meals to deep clean and sanitize.
Other safety measures include more to-go options, using prepackaged eating utensils and condiments, and protective barriers fronting registers.
A return to normal operations will be phased in over the semester as CDC and Texas A&M University System guidelines allow.
