Meet The Texan Comeback Team
Ms. Amy Linton
Undergraduate Readmission Coach
What I do
I offer support and coaching to students who are ready to come home and finish their degrees. I work with individual students to identify barriers and find work-around plans to accommodate their needs.
I also spend time each week connecting with students who are taking a break from school to make sure they have a clear path to come back.
My Comeback Story
I started at Tarleton in the fall of 1993 as a music major. I fell in love with the culture and family atmosphere that epitomizes Tarleton right away. I stopped out after only 2 semesters when I got married and started my family.
In 2016 when I decided to return to school, there was never any question about where I would attend. I applied for readmission to Tarleton and was thrilled when I was admitted. In the spring of 2020, I graduated with a BBA in Management.
After graduation, I knew I didn’t want to leave Tarleton so a position in readmission was perfect for me. I believe that education betters society as a whole by enriching the lives of individuals and I have a passion for working with those students to achieve their personal educational goals.
My Advice
My best advice for coming back to Tarleton is to use your resources. The Texan Comeback team is here to answer your questions or get you to the right people to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
You’re never alone. You have a community behind you, your Tarleton family rooting for you all the way to graduation and beyond.
