Welcome to Academic Advising!

Students who anticipate attending graduate school in pursuit of furthering their health education can seek guidance from Tarleton’s academic and faculty advisors. Your academic choices are important if you plan to pursue a career in a health profession. Your advisors look forward to guiding you in preparation for course planning, community service practical-related experiences, campus involvement and leadership, and much more.

Before seeking out an advisor, remember that there are different types of advisors designed to fit your specific needs:

  • Academic Advisors guide you through choosing the courses require by health professions and graduate/professional schools. Course sequencing and combinations can, and should be tailored for each student to keep them on the right track.
  • Faculty Advisors can give you insightful advising for your overall coursework and degree planning, as well as guidance in applying for admission and preparing for the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) entrance exam process to professional/graduate schools, if applicable.
