Upon completion of the Tarleton State University MMSc-PAM Program the learner will be able to:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LO1<\/strong><\/td>Apply core knowledge about established and evolving biomedical and clinical sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care. (MK, CRPS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO2<\/strong><\/td>Accurately obtain and document complete and focused medical history. (CTS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO3<\/strong><\/td>Appropriately perform a comprehensive and focused physical exam. (CTS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO4<\/strong><\/td>Appropriately select, perform, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic procedures in general practice. (CTS, CRPS)\u00a0<\/td><\/tr>
LO5<\/strong><\/td>Accurately determine a differential and final diagnosis through investigative and analytic thinking. (CRPS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO6<\/strong><\/td>Formulate appropriate pharmacologic and non- pharmacologic treatment plans for conditions in general practice. (MK, CTS, CRPS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO7<\/strong><\/td>Demonstrate appropriate counseling, patient, and family education, related to laboratory and diagnostics studies, preventable diseases, communicable diseases, immunization schedules, and healthy lifestyles through effective communication skills. (CTS, PB, IS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO8<\/strong><\/td>Demonstrate a commitment to ethical and professional behaviors. (PB)<\/td><\/tr>
LO9<\/strong><\/td>Critically appraise the medical literature to use current practice guidelines and apply the principles of evidence-based medicine when caring for the patient. (CRPS)<\/td><\/tr>
LO10<\/strong><\/td>Demonstrate respect, compassion, empathy and sensitivity to each patient as a unique individual, recognizing their personal background and identity through professional communication and deportment. (IS, PB)<\/td><\/tr>
LO11<\/strong><\/td>Demonstrate an awareness of and responsiveness to the larger system of health care to provide patient care that balances quality and cost. (PB)<\/td><\/tr>
LO12<\/strong><\/td>Use the full scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities of an interprofessional team to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and balanced. (IS, PB)<\/td><\/tr>
LO13<\/strong><\/td>Perform skills, procedures, and documentation with entry level competence that ensures patient safety preventing of adverse incidents and medical errors. (CTS, PB)<\/td><\/tr>
