Step 3 - Transition Week

T-Week begins with Move-In and continues through the first day of class. Required for all first-year students, T-Week helps you make a successful transition into the academic and campus community.

During T-Week, you will:

  • Move in to your residence hall
  • Start your First-Year Experience course
  • Meet instructors and learn more about their major
  • Learn about Tarleton traditions and pride
  • Make connections with classmates
  • Become officially inducted into the Tarleton family

Students Living on Campus

T-Week begins upon your move in date. You will receive a Transition Week Guide during your first residence hall meeting after move-in ends.

Learn about what to bring, how to pack, and things to take care of before moving in and after you arrive.

Commuter Students

Even though you are not living on campus, this week will prove invaluable in helping you get acclimated to the Tarleton campus culture. You will network with your fellow classmates, faculty and staff, make lifelong friendships, discover the tools for academic achievement and get plugged in to Tarleton organizations! T-Week is mandatory for all first time students (residential and commuter).

Students who are not living on campus in the fall will check-in for T-Week in the Thompson Student Center Ballrooms. Commuter students will receive a Transition Week Guide upon check-in.
