The courses in the RN to BSN entry are delivered online with experiential learning components and a leadership practicum. More information may be found by at www.tarleton.edu\/nursing or by emailing to applynursing@tarleton.edu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Admission Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completion of 56 general education requirements from a regionally accredited institution with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. General education courses with a course grade of a \u201cD\u201d or below will not be accepted, even if cumulative general education GPA is 2.5 or higher.<br>a. General education requirements are listed in the table on the next page.<br>b. Some courses may be taken concurrently with the RN to BSN courses<br>i. Nutrition, First Year Seminar, Creative Arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold an Associate degree or diploma from a nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Graduates from non-accredited NLNAC or ACEN institution may request special consideration if a nursing program approved by the state board of nursing.<br>a. A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required for all nursing core courses in the associate degree nursing program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold a current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the United States and be eligible for unencumbered licensure in Texas. Proof of unencumbered current Texas license must be demonstrated by the start of course work.<br>a. An associate degree nursing graduate awaiting to take the NCLEX-RN will be conditionally admitted. Students conditionally admitted may only take one course until NCLEX-RN passed and unencumbered RN license obtained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic statistics course with a grade of \u201cC\u201d or better (included in the required prerequisite courses).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resume.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Admission Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications are accepted for spring and fall admission cycles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application to the nursing program is separate from, and in addition to, the application to Tarleton State University. Acceptance by Tarleton State University and the College of Nursing is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply to Tarleton State University.<br>a. This process includes submission of official transcripts and a nonrefundable fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply to the College of Nursing at Tarleton State University.<br>a.
