STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Just in time for Halloween, Tarleton State University\u2019s Texan Theatre will present a stage production of R.N. Sandberg\u2019s \u201cFrankenstein,\u201d based on Mary Shelley\u2019s book of the same name. The show will run from Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlthough this play follows Mary Shelley\u2019s story closely, the play feels more like a dream or a nightmare of what Victor Frankenstein experienced during the time of his troubles and aftermath of his creation,\u201d said Daniel Stone, director and assistant professor of theater in the Department of Performing Arts. \u201cThe students have been learning the art of melodrama and its style of performance. The language of this play and its situations lends itself nicely to this approach to storytelling. There are a lot of surprises in this production.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students Jackson Boyd, Makayla Facio, Alejandro Lujan, Kelley Holderness, Noelani Heise, Mathew Carlton, Gianmarco Castellanos, Charles Jay and Andrea Hernandez star in the production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional contributors include scenic designer Phillip Skinner; lighting designer Bee Harris; makeup designers Karly Smith and Emily Fox; prop designers Maegan Neagle and Victor Friar; and costume designer Dr. Emily McLemore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
