STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Performances by special guests Dr. Benjamin Raviotta and Dr. Trevor James Smith will highlight Tarleton State University\u2019s Wind Ensemble concert, set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Raviotta, assistant professor of French horn, will be the featured soloist on \u201cCape Horn for Horn and Wind Ensemble\u201dby Otto M. Schwarz. Also on the program will be the world premiere of \u201cPainted Hill, Painted Sky,\u201d composed by Dr. Smith, assistant professor of theory and composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional selections include \u201cGive Us This Day\u201d by David Maslanka, \u201cFanfare Ritmico\u201d by Jennifer Higdon, and \u201cSesquicentennial Exposition March,\u201d <\/em>written by John Philip Sousa in celebration of the 150th<\/sup> anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All tickets are $10 and seating is general admission.
