STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University planetarium\u2019s most popular holiday presentation, \u201cThe Mystery of the Christmas Star,\u201d begins its annual showings Tuesday, Dec. 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The free full-dome feature investigates the possible dates for the birth of Christ by examining recorded sightings of significant astronomical events around that time. During the show, planetarium visitors will see how signs in the sky could have been remarkable enough to cause the wise men to travel across the desert to Bethlehem, likely from the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission is free, but seating is limited to 86 guests per show and tickets are required. The planetarium box office will open one hour before each show.
