Shallbetter finished his CNFR preliminary runs with a three-head total of 233.5.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other Thursday action, Waitley Sharon\u2019s saddle bronc ride ended with no score as did Kaylie Garza&#8217;s breakaway roping effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarleton State team members competing Friday include barrel racer Hadley Tidwell, goat tyer Tori Brower, saddle bronc rider Bailey Small and tie-down roper Brayden Roe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top 12 qualifiers in each event will advance to Saturday&#8217;s championship round.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STEPHENVILLE, Texas\u00a0\u2014 Coleman Shallbetter vaulted into a second-place tie in the saddle bronc riding third go-round Thursday at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyo.
