STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University\u2019s Research and Economic Development Building was recently awarded the 2025 TEXO Distinguished Building Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TEXO Distinguished Building Award is presented to outstanding commercial building projects in Texas that showcase exceptional construction quality and innovative practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located on U.S. Highway 281 and East Lingleville Road, the Research and Economic Development Building was officially opened in July 2024. The state-of-the-art 10,236-square-foot, $7 million facility features a unique pair of parallel pre-engineered metal buildings. The abundant curtainwall systems create natural light, producing an inspiring environment for innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarleton State shares the building with Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, providing a collaborative space for the different entities to improve research, agriculture and economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This groundbreaking project is a testament to the power of partnership \u2014 a bold, modern design driving innovation, research and economic growth through true collaboration,\u201d said Tarleton Assistant Vice President for Campus Operations David Martin. \u201cCollective efforts like these not only drive success but also make the journey genuinely rewarding. We would sincerely like to thank our operations facilities services team, SSC, Mustard Design and The Christman Company for their unwavering commitment to excellence.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving the award is a testament to the collective ingenuity and hard work that went into making the building a hub for groundbreaking research and economic advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
