STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Performances by special guests Dr. Floyd Richmond and Evan Holcomb will highlight Tarleton State University\u2019s Wind Ensemble concert, set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Richmond, an Associate Professor of Tuba at Tarleton State, joined the faculty in 2019. In addition to tuba, he teaches courses in music business and in the graduate sequence<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will perform Joseph Haydn\u2019s \u201cTrumpet Concerto.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holcomb, a senior music performance major from Weatherford, is the winner of the 2025 Concerto Competition and is a student of Dr. Benjamin Charles. He will play Keiko Abe\u2019s \u201cPrism Rhapsody\u201d<\/em> on marimba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. David Robinson, will also perform \u201cSinfonia\u201d by Zhao Tian.
