STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University\u2019s Department of Performing Arts presents the annual Spring Masterworks concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event features Tarleton State\u2019s University Singers and the Cross Timbers Civic Chorale under the direction of Dr. Troy Robertson. Also featured is the Masterworks Orchestra in a performance of Johann Michael Haydn’s \u201cRequiem in C minor,\u201d one of the works that inspired Mozart’s great, unfinished Requiem Mass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other works to be performed include Josef Rheinberger’s stunning “Abendlied,” Mozart’s “Misericordias Domini” and Susan LaBarr’s “We Remember Them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
