Carroll ISD and Tarleton State leaders cemented the agreement in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re very excited to partner with Dr. Jeremy Glenn and Carroll ISD to ensure that some of the best and brightest students in Texas have the opportunity for a high-quality university experience,\u201d said Tarleton State President Dr. James Hurley. Superintendent Glenn signed the first DHSP agreement with Tarleton State in 2019 when he was with Granbury ISD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe couldn\u2019t be happier to be working with Dr. Glenn again in a new partnership,\u201d Dr. Hurley continued. \u201cThis agreement aligns with our commitment to be a first-choice institution for high school seniors in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The President\u2019s Guaranteed Scholarship Program assures first-time-in-college students graduating in the top half of their high school class between $500 and $4,000 in scholarships. Students graduating from one of Tarleton State\u2019s Distinguished High School Partners will receive an additional $500 or $1,000. Admitted freshmen must submit a general scholarship application to determine eligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCarroll ISD is excited to partner with Tarleton State in the Distinguished High School Partners program,\u201d said Dr. Glenn. \u201cOur district recognizes Tarleton State\u2019s commitment to educational excellence and is thrilled about the opportunities this provides our graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Hurley on his first public high school partnership and have witnessed firsthand the incredible difference these types of partnerships can make in the lives of our students,\u201d Dr. Glenn continued. \u201cTexas public schools are fortunate to have visionary leaders like Dr. Hurley and the Tarleton State administrative team looking out for our students and leading the way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
