STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 In recognition of the 125th\u00a0anniversary of\u00a0\u00a0both Tarleton State University and the birth of Duke Ellington, Dr. Will Ford will direct the Jazz I Ensemble as they perform the Ellington\/Billy Strayhorn version of \u201cThe Nutcracker Suite.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suite includes \u201cThe Overture,\u201d \u201cToot Toot Tootie Toot,\u201d \u201cPeanut Brittle Brigade,\u201d \u201cSugar Rum Cherry,\u201d \u201cEntr\u2019acte,\u201d \u201cThe Volga Vouty,\u201d \u201cChinoiserie,\u201d \u201cDance of the Floreadores\u201d and \u201cArabesque Cookie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
