STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Seventeen students graduating from the Tarleton State University Department of Visual Arts and Design this fall will showcase their work in senior capstone exhibits running Oct. 30-Dec. 4 at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The work of the soon-to-be graduates will be presented in a rotation of four exhibitions, allowing an opportunity for the artists to mount a professional display of creative work and research in the area the student intends to focus on upon graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis group represents the variety and breadth of work that comes out of the Department of Visual Arts and Design at Tarleton State,\u201d said Department Head Chris Ireland, who is also the senior adviser. \u201cEach week there will be new and interesting forms of work that our seniors have worked very hard to complete. The variety of styles of work is a testament to the variety of programs our faculty design to give the students the opportunity to go forth from Tarleton with a strong portfolio.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first show, Oct. 30-Nov. 5, will be a group exhibition of the work of Shaylin Carter, Joseph DuFrain, Alexandra Mendoza and Emily Olivo. This exhibition will feature graphic design, photography, sculpture and video game design work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second exhibition runs Nov. 7-13, and features Jillian Nemec, Tori Radke and Kayli Rodriguez. A variety of works will be featured from drawing, photography and illustration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Nov. 15-21 exhibition features Ariel Hayes, Jade Hernandez, Devon Roland and Russell Stone. Styles of work in this exhibition include digital illustration, drawing and graphic design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The final exhibition runs from Nov. 25 to Dec. 4 and includes digital illustration, photography and video work from Chris Carter, Caden McLaury, Reagan Missel and Madison Sharp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, the documentary and short film work of Amanda Carpenter and Samuel Yankie will be screened Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Fine Arts Center Workshop Theater.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
