STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University\u2019s choirs will present \u201cThe Times, They Are a’ Changin\u2019\u201d at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Featured ensembles include the Chamber Choir, Texan Harmony, Texan Riders and the Texan Troubadours. Visiting Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano, Dr. Sarah Thune, will also perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The performance will feature choral selections from American gospel, spirituals, hymnody and pop. Some performances include Bob Dylan\u2019s timeless \u201cThe Times, They Are a\u2019 Changin\u2019,\u201d Rosephanye Powell\u2019s lively Gospel tune \u201cStill I Rise,\u201d Alice Parker\u2019s setting of the spiritual \u201cMy God Is a Rock\u201d and two new pieces composed by Tarleton State Director of Choirs Dr. Troy Robertson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets are $5 or free for Tarleton students, faculty and staff.
