STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University\u2019s Symphonic Band presents their first concert of the 2024 fall semester, \u201cA Walk in the Garden,\u201d at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The show, directed by Dr. Gary Westbrook, will feature the premier of \u201cA Jasmine Tree\u201d by Kevin Charoensri. The Thai-American San Diego native now resides in Austin and is studying music composition at the University of Texas. Charoensri began writing music at age 12, and has written works for band, orchestra, choir, chamber music, EDM, big band, jazz combo and film scores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
