{"id":51283,"date":"2024-07-08T17:02:28","date_gmt":"2024-07-08T22:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/?p=51283"},"modified":"2024-08-15T17:21:40","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T22:21:40","slug":"admission-scholarships-highlight-tarleton-state-birdville-isd-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/admission-scholarships-highlight-tarleton-state-birdville-isd-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission, Scholarships Highlight Tarleton State, Birdville ISD Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Beginning with the Class of 2024, Birdville Independent School District seniors in the top 50 percent of their graduating class will earn automatic admission to Tarleton State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its Distinguished High School Partners program, Tarleton State also will waive application fees for students who qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdville ISD and Tarleton State leaders cemented the agreement in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPartnering with Birdville ISD ensures that some of the brightest students in Texas have the opportunity for a high-quality university experience,\u201d said Tarleton State President Dr. James Hurley. \u201cThis partnership aligns with our commitment to be a first-choice institution for high school seniors in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President\u2019s Guaranteed Scholarship Program assures first-time-in-college students graduating in the top half of their high school class between $500 and $4,000 in scholarships. Students graduating from one of Tarleton State\u2019s Distinguished High School Partners will receive an additional $500 or $1,000.
