STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University will host Founder\u2019s Week events April 15-20 in Stephenville and at extended campus locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filled with traditions, the week honors university founder John Tarleton and is held each spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Stephenville campus, Cruise the Island begins the festivities at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Alumni Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silver Taps will be observed at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Alumni Island to honor alumni, faculty, staff and friends who passed away over the past year. The public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From April 18-20, the 58th Annual Tarleton Stampede takes over Lone Star Arena with exciting rodeo action on display at 7:30 p.m. each night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights late in the week include Oscar P\u2019s Birthday Bash and Spring Concert on Thursday, April 18, and the Ring Ceremony and May Fete on Friday, April 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Caleb Sutton Band and Alex Aguilar will be featured during the concert Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following tailgate activities and the O.W.L.S 100-year celebration to start the day Saturday, April 20, the Purple and White intrasquad football game kicks off at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
