STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Seventeen area high school and middle school bands will be on the Tarleton State University campus in Stephenville Feb. 26-27 for the 13th Annual Tarleton Concert Band Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bands from Stephenville, Maypearl, Hillsboro, Italy, Iraan, Tuscola, Cisco, Keene, Joshua, Godley, Lampasas and Abilene will perform in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium beginning at 9:30 a.m. both days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tarleton Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Gary Westbrook, and the Tarleton University Band, directed by Dr. David Robinson, will perform Monday at 7:30 p.m. The Tarleton Wind Ensemble, also directed by Dr. Robinson, will conclude the festival Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. concert.
Daily performances of visiting bands are free. Tickets to the evening concerts are $5. Admission is free for festival participants or those with a Tarleton State ID.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
