STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University faculty member Thomas Faulkenberry has been named an Associate Editor for the journal \u201cBehavior Research Methods.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Faulkenberry, an Associate Professor and head of the Department of Psychological Sciences, begins his term Jan. 1, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBehavior Research Methods\u201d publishes articles concerned with the methods, techniques and instrumentation of research in experimental psychology. As Associate Editor, Dr. Faulkenberry will oversee the peer review process for approximately 40 scientific papers per year, with topics ranging from advanced quantitative methods to Bayesian statistics. \u201cBehavior Research Methods\u201d is considered one of the world\u2019s top journals in psychological methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A first-generation college student with degrees in both mathematics and psychology, Dr. Faulkenberry is an award-winning professor and an internationally recognized scholar in Bayesian statistics and mathematical cognition. He is the author of the books \u201cPsychological Statistics: The Basics,\u201dpublished in 2022 by Routledge, and the forthcoming \u201cBayesian Statistics: The Basics,\u201dwhich will appear in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He regularly conducts workshops on Bayesian statistics at universities throughout the U.S. and Europe. In addition, he is a fellow of the Psychonomic Society and a Past President of the Southwestern Psychological Association, and he has served as Chair of several national and international committees, including the Joint Committee on Statistics and Data Science Education cosponsored by the American Statistical Association and the Mathematical Association of America.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
