STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 The Tarleton State University Department of Fine Arts presents a new twist on a holiday classic with \u201cA Christmas Carol: The Radio Play.\u201d The curtain rises for the first of five performances at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for seniors, children and faculty; and $5 for students with a Tarleton ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Charles Dickens holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast, complete with vintage commercials and the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring. Tarleton theater students and community actors bring dozens of characters to the stage as the familiar story unfolds: Three ghosts take Ebenezer Scrooge on a thrilling journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
